The first sentence describing Number Salad in its iTunes listing is that Number Salad is a numeric puzzle game. How can Apple consider a numeric puzzle game to be a word game?

Choices: Stories You Play is the mobile gaming equivalent of reading a Choose Your Own Adventure book. You play through a story and make choices to control the direction the story takes.
The only way Choices: Stories You Play could qualify as a word game is that the stories you play have words in them. By that logic almost every adventure and role-playing game in the App Store would be classified as word games. This game belongs in the adventure game section of the App Store.

August was the best month yet for LetterMiner downloads.
- iOS: 900 downloads
- Mac: 10 downloads
The 900 downloads for the iOS version is especially good considering I had only 53 downloads from January through July.

I recently checked the download stats for the iOS version of LetterMiner and noticed a big jump in downloads. The following list of download stats shows how dramatic the jump is:
- 45 downloads in January
- 8 downloads from February 1 to May 7
- 0 downloads from May 8 to August 12
- 7 downloads from August 13 to August 16
- 331 downloads from August 17 to August 23
I have no idea how I went from nobody downloading LetterMiner for three months to getting over 300 downloads in a week. I know Apple had nothing to do with it. You still can’t find LetterMiner by browsing the App Store. No one mentioned the game on Twitter. I didn’t get a spike in traffic to this site. A YouTube search for LetterMiner turned up nothing. There was an increase in my tweet impressions starting on August 17, but the number of impressions wasn’t much higher than the impressions I had some days in May and June when no one downloaded the game.

The first sentence in the game’s App Store description says Key of Back Rooms 2 is a puzzle game. Why is it in the word game list? Key of Back Rooms 2 is as much a word game as LetterMiner is a trivia game.
